Working in a big MNC i have alwasys wondered if “Politics” is part of our work culture or not. I am not talking about what the Company guidelines or rule book says but what happens on the ground.
Can we do our work without being affected of politics happening around us. The answer seems to be no. Then next question will arise- then what should we do? We have three options:
Be part of the system and play the politics game. This might hurt your actual work but who cares if you are winning in your political tactics.
Fight admantaly against the people who do this. The chances are that you will soon become most hated person and no body will be happy with you.
Don’t do anything and accept whatever is happening around you keeping a low profile.
