These days recession is the one of the hottest topic around the globe. From most learned to an un-educated, everyone is talking about this word. Everyone is interpreting it in his/her own ways on how it’s going to impact them. I am not saying if these interpretations are right or wrong. They all have their own views.
Therefore even I thought, why not to pen down my version of interpretation of Recession.
Firstly I would like to say that I am a guy who loves to draw a parallel between things and explain them with small stories. So in this article also I will try to explain my interpretation of recession, correlating it with something which we all have already experienced, many times in our lives.
We all have fallen sick, met with minor/major accidents in our lives, in a way we all have at least once got affected health wise in life. Now saying this, let’s take an example, I have met with accident lately while trying new tricks with my skateboard and I am hurt. What will I do? I will take off from everything and will sit back at home doing very little work and a bit scared after the whole episode. I will not go out and play games (take risks), party and work or do shopping. But yes I will still manage to buy my day to day stuff somehow because that’s minimum which I will have to do for living. And what my family members will do? Even they will become extra careful, they themselves will not go and take extra risks because recently only they have seen my example of what happens because of taking undue risks. So they will also sit back for a while, till its fresh in their memories, as they are also in a bit of fear.
Now I will tell you another story:
Meet Developed Economy, who is hero of our story and has recently got hurt in minor accident during practicing skating tricks with friends. What is he going to do now?
Very simple he will go back to his house and take some time off from regular things to recover and heal up his wounds.
Now meet another guy, Developing Economy who is younger brother of Developed. For Developing, Developed is an idol and he follows him blindly in most of the things. After seeing his brother got injured in this accident, even Developing is feeling a bit fearful and has stopped doing skating for the time being. He is bit apprehensive that same thing could happen with him also. One day he asked Developed, “Brother, how did that accident happen?”, Developed replied “I don’t know what went wrong, but yes I am hurt badly and now onwards you also be careful while doing any outdoor activities. It’s a lesson for both of us, that we should not take these types of unnecessary risks.”
After some weeks of rest and recovery Developed’s wounds started getting healed. He started moving around his apartment.
Two more weeks have past now; Developed has fully recovered and has started doing his regular work. One day he saw people trying tricks with bikes. He felt excited about it and thought to try it out. After investing some time and risks he started doing the tricks very effectively and even performed in some shows around the town. Developing felt quite amazed after looking at Developed’s rising popularity. Developing said to himself, if my brother can do it then why can’t I? So even Developing started putting some time in learning Bike tricks but not on the scale as what his big Brother was doing because he was still a bit apprehensive.
Can you guess what happened next???
Yes you are right, Developed again met with an accident while showing very risky bike tricks. Again he was hurt, stopped working for weeks and was bed ridden. He and his younger brother are now again fearful and decided not to repeat something of this sort. But the same story kept on going…and this will actually never end [:)]
